Where’s Connor? Stuck inside.

By Connor Ciecko

A lot of people have been asking me how my daily routine has changed since all of this crazy stuff started. Honestly? It hasn’t changed a whole lot. The biggest difference is that I don’t have to leave the house to go to class, though I’m not really sure how I feel about that one. I have a hard time concentrating to begin with and being able to *attend* class surrounded by all the distractions that I’m normally forced to distance myself from is a challenge. A lot of my instructors still don’t quite have this whole e-learning thing figured out yet, too, so working through the hiccups with them is another challenge and one that I’m hoping will resolve itself within the next week or so.

The other day, all the bored work-at-home parents in my neighborhood planned a “social distancing walk.” That was actually really nice. The weather is turning to something more favorable and having the opportunity to interact with some other people in my neighborhood at a minimum safe distance was greatly appreciated. Seeing the community come together and want to do something creative to keep their sanity is inspiring to me. We get through this by sticking together. After all, everybody is dealing with the same thing.
