Peoria Charter releases updates about services

by Maddy Chemers

Last weekend, Peoria Charter sent out their first newsletter of the year sharing upcoming changes as they celebrate their 80th anniversary. The shuttle company has been operating on a limited schedule since the start of the pandemic in 2020. Currently, the demand for the service is on the rise, so the company is adding to its routes.

While masks are still required for riders, starting on March 23, Peoria Charter will be upholding new terms and conditions. For O’Hare and Midway Airport pickups, tickets will be transferable up until an hour past the listed departure time while tickets for all other pickups are only transferable at least two hours before the listed departure.

Peoria Charter is also employing credits for unknown future travel dates. The credits do not cover any transfer fee and have to be used within the 90-day window of the initial departure day.

In their newsletter, the Peoria Charter staff writes, “This past year was a year of slow recovery for Peoria Charter, the motor coach industry, and for the whole world. We at Peoria Charter are hoping that 2022 will be a year of further growth and recovery for ourselves, and our customers.”

The company is also utilizing a new “interactive ticket panel” for riders to view their tickets. With this new feature, riders can swipe through purchased tickets and transfer tickets online or turn them into credits. Customers can also use the GPS to find pickup locations through this service and see when to arrive at their stop.

In celebration of Peoria Charter’s anniversary, the family-owned company is also offering discount codes for select routes.

The motorcoach’s website reads, “You, our customers, keep the wheels rollin’ for this company. We would like to personally thank you and wish you all good health and happy travels in the year ahead.”
