Anthony Pasquale

Anthony Pasquale is a senior at the University of Illinois, expecting to graduate in May of 2022 with a degree in journalism, a minor in public relations, a certificate in Sport Media and specializations in both Kinesiology and Recreation Sport and Tourism. He is from Chicago, Illinois and spent his summers during high school caddying at Ridgemoor Country Club which allowed him to earn the Chick Evans Scholarship for Caddies to the University of Illinois. Since arriving on campus in the fall of 2018, Anthony has been very involved. He has broadcasted various Illinois athletics contests through the Big Ten Network Student program.

The program has allowed him the opportunity to broadcast men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and soccer. In addition, he has broadcasted 10+ Illini Hockey games over the course of his four years on campus and has recently begun commentating for NFL games on a brand new platform: Colorcast.

In addition to his broadcast work, Anthony has gained experience as a writer for CubsHQ, covering the Cubs, and The Champaign Room, covering Illinois basketball, baseball and football. Anthony also has a pair of podcasts, the Cubs Corner on Apple Podcasts and SoundCloud and The Champaign Room’s Oskee Talk podcast. Finally, since fall of 2021, Anthony has co-hosted UI7’s Illini Sports Night every Tuesday night at 9 p.m.
